About

Why Carry or Stay exists

Most buying advice starts with brands and prices. The bigger question comes first: should the computer go with you, stay at a desk, or do both?

Carry or Stay asks eleven questions about how you will use a new computer and scores five forms (laptop, laptop with a desk setup, all-in-one, mini PC, desktop tower) by fixed rules that anyone can read on How it scores. Then it writes a one-page brief: the memory, storage, screen, battery, weight and ports to look for, what to add, and the questions to ask before paying.

What it is not

• Not a store, and not paid by one. No affiliate links, no commissions, no brands or models recommended.
• Not a review site. There are no ratings of products or sellers.
• Not a check of a used listing or a hands-on test of a machine; it is for deciding what kind of computer to shop for.
• Not AI. The same answers always give the same scores.

Who runs it

Carry or Stay is built and run by WeldonPC.com. The address laptopdesktop.org is a .org domain; Carry or Stay is not a registered charity or nonprofit organization.
