Carry or Stay is built to know as little about you as possible.
The chooser
Your answers travel in the page address of your result. Nothing is stored when you only look at a result.
Brief Folders
When you press "Save to a private folder", the site stores your answers to the eleven questions, the optional label you type, and the dates the folder was made and last opened. The folder's link holds a random key; the site keeps only a one-way fingerprint (SHA-256) of it, so we cannot rebuild your link. There are no accounts, names or email addresses.
Folders that are not opened for 18 months are deleted, unless a paid Brief Pass still renews. You can delete a folder or a brief at any time; it is gone at once, and from the nightly database copies within 14 days.
Addresses and counters
To limit abuse, the site counts new folders and saves per connection per day or hour. The counters keep a salted one-way fingerprint of the address, never the address itself, and are deleted after 3 days. The web server keeps its usual access log on the server, the hosting control panel (cPanel) makes its standard visitor statistics (AWStats) from that log, and the host keeps its own server backups. Those logs and backups can contain page addresses, including folder links.
Cookies
Pages with a form set one cookie that protects the form against forgery (it ends when you close the browser). There are no tracking cookies, ads or analytics.
Payments
When checkout opens, PayPal handles payment; the site would store only the subscription's reference, plan, status and end date. During the preview nothing is charged.
